This training demystifies CHFA’s down payment assistance by explaining what it is, how it works, and how it pairs with CHFA first‑mortgage programs. 

Borrower requirements such as income limits, credit score standards, minimum personal investment, and homebuyer education are discussed. Attendees will learn how CHFA programs and DPA function together, correctly set client expectations, and how to serve as informed partners in expanding access to affordable homeownership in Colorado. This course will highlight one of CHFA’s upcoming programs, “Schools To Home,” featuring up to 25% of the loan amount as down payment assistance, for qualifying full-time employees of public schools statewide.
